Vicar Devin M. Jackson Serving Trinity 2023
Vicar Jackson feels he has been blessed to be a lifelong Lutheran in the Missouri Synod. A career public servant in Fire and EMS services since 1985 till his retirement in July of 2024, he has seen firsthand why everybody needs to have a faith in Jesus Christ as their redemption with the Father.
Vicar is enrolled in the Specific Ministry Program, through Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The SMP program, was created by the 2007 Synod convention as a program of theological education for use in specific circumstances and contexts. The SMP program is a four-year distance education program that prepares men for specific pastoral ministries in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). Students receive academic training in the setting where they will continue to serve following ordination. While taking classes through Concordia Seminary, they work with a local pastor-mentor who support them in the program with day-to-day guidance, encouragement and prayer. Vicar meets weekly with his mentor Pastor to review upcoming Divine Services & sermon drafts. Vicar Jackson's mentor is Revered David L. Adler.
Prior to entering Seminary, Vicar had served as a Director of Music & Choir Director in multiple congregations since 1991 & was also a Kantor in Germany in 1996 & as an Elder for 20 years. He is married to Melanie (Walther) Jackson & have two sons who serve the church; Matthew-Sexton at Trinity, Aaron-Director of Music & Organist at Redeemer LCMS in Mountain Home, Arkansas and a daughter Caryn.

Hymns are chosen for the church to sing are from the Lutheran Service Book and support the appointed readings for each Sunday. Bible Study material comes from Concordia Publishing House, Concordia Publishing House, or the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod resources.
